There are thousands of business and marketing tools available for Pinterest Managers and Pinterest Virtual Assistants. However, there is ONE tool that stands out above the rest and is worth investing in.

That tool is Tailwind.
How could it not be, right?!

Well, if I’m being less specific it’s really a scheduling tool for your client’s content.

In order to create and implement a long term Pinterest marketing strategy for your clients you need to be planning one to two months in advance.

The best way to plan out your content is to use a scheduler so you can easily see the layout of the month ahead and make sure the top performing content (for that time of year) is going out on Pinterest.

When you’re stuck in the day to day of pinning, you won’t have time to invest in advanced keyword research, analytics analysis and pin design testing.

All vital activities when you’re trying to increase conversions for your client’s content.

The one tool every Pinterest Manager needs is Tailwind. As a Pinterest VA or Pinterest Manager you need a scheduling tool like Tailwind.

If you’re new to Pinterest Management you may be thinking:

1. Do I really need to invest in a scheduler?

2. What if my client won’t pay for a scheduler since they’re paying me?

3. Will it actually help increase traffic to my clients website?

If you’re a seasoned Pinterest Manager your questions may be:

1. How do I get my clients to pay for a Tailwind account?

2. Can I add their account to my profile so I don’t have to log in and out all the time?

3. What if my clients feel like they’re already paying me to do the work and aren’t happy paying for a scheduler in addition to that?

These are all valid questions and by the end of this post you’ll feel confident that Tailwind is the right choice for you and your clients.

When I got started as a Pinterest Manager, years ago, I didn’t use Tailwind or any other scheduler. GASP!! I know, here I am saying you should and I didn’t. For six months I manually pinned EVERY SINGLE DAY for all of my clients. WOAH!

Exhaustion and I were best buddies.

It was extremely tiring but I wasn’t ready to invest in a program until I knew it would work for me. I didn’t know how to cover the cost when I was just starting out.

There was no one talking about how to setup Pinterest Management packages at the time (that I could find through search) and I had no idea if my strategy would fail if I went for an automation system. It was all trial and error.

Trial and error is exhausting.

Every day I logged into 5-10 different Pinterest accounts and pinned their content and other pinners’ content manually. I also had to market my business services, set up new Pinterest accounts, design pins and EVERYTHING else that goes along with Pinterest Management.

The day I invested in TAILWIND was the day my Pinterest Management business changed.

– I could take on more clients.
– I could plan out campaigns months in advance.
– I could easily map out my strategy for the month ahead.
– I found FREEDOM in my business.
– I could actually take a vacation and enjoy my weekends.

Let’s just say, I want you to feel what I felt post-Tailwind not pre-Tailwind.

✋ Before we dive into those questions and concerns from above, I want to share a great resource I created for you.

The Ultimate Pinterest Manager Checklist. Yes I called it ultimate because it covers all the things. It will help you stay on top of your client work so you don’t loose sleep hoping you didn’t forget anything. This checklist will take you through client onboarding, account set up, monthly maintenance and more.

After you go through it, you’ll be able to confidently provide your Pinterest Management clients with an experience they’ll rave about, knowing that you’re on track with all the tasks you need to complete.

The best thing about it is that it covers all the TAILWIND tasks you need to do for your client’s account.

So let’s break down those questions and concerns above so you can feel confident investing in TAILWIND for your business.

1. Do I really need to invest in a scheduler?

If you’re looking to grow your Pinterest Management business beyond a few thousand dollars a month, you need to create space in your schedule for marketing and serving your clients. If you’re manually pinning for every client you will have to work weekends if their audience engages more on a Sunday. You won’t be able to take sick days since you’ll need to be pinning every day for them. You won’t have the flexibility in your schedule and you will have to spend more time planning out your schedule manually instead of being able to easily see it in Tailwind.

Investing in a scheduler allows you to make strategic moves on your client’s Pinterest account and gives you the time you need to analyze their results to make more informed decisions moving forward.

2. Will it actually help increase traffic to my clients website?

The short answer is: YES.
Tailwind allows you to remain consistent every single day ensuring your client’s Pinterest account is always receiving high quality pins.
Tailwind allows you to make strategic decisions like looping content at the right time of year, scheduling content that traditionally performs really well during a certain month and ensuring that your content goes to ALL relevant boards and group boards at the right time with interval pinning.

In all my years using Tailwind, I’ve seen client accounts continue to grow and send traffic to their website because of the consistency in pinning and the strategic pinning actions taken thanks to Tailwind.

3. How do I get my clients to pay for a Tailwind account?

There are 2 ways you can do this. I honestly wish I had known this when I started out.

Firstly, you could require that all new clients pay for their own Tailwind account and you can give them directions to get it set up.

Secondly, you could add the cost of Tailwind to your Pinterest package so that it is covered in your package price. You would then add their account to your Tailwind profile.

4. Can I add their account to my profile so I don’t have to log in and out all the time?

Yes, you definitely can. This makes it easy to toggle between your different client accounts.

Just remember that they won’t have access to it because it’s on your Tailwind profile and if they decide to end their contract they would need to join Tailwind to continue using it for their account. You would need to remove it from your profile.

5. What if my clients feel like they’re already paying me to do the work and aren’t happy paying for a scheduler in addition to that?

In this case, I’d add the cost of Tailwind into your Pinterest package pricing. That way it is included in your cost as a Pinterest manager and they pay for your package.

In most cases when clients don’t want to pay extra because of the extra effort they have to go through. By adding it to your package they make one payment to you and don’t have to worry about anything else.

If you don’t want to add the cost to your package then you need to address the reason for using Tailwind and why it is essential to success on Pinterest. You need to share the features Tailwind has that will help them grow their Pinterest account, the consistency it provides and the strategy you can implement with the tool. In the end you need to let them know the tool is vital and required. If they don’t want to pay for it in addition to your service, you can give them a quick guide on how to get it set up so that the process isn’t as daunting for them.

Tailwind is the scheduling tool I recommend for Pinterest Managers because of it’s amazing features.

Here’s what you can do with Tailwind:

1. Schedule your client’s content

2. Schedule content from other pinners

3. Track your results using their Pin Insights, Board Insights and Account Performance tools

4. Join and create Tailwind Tribes

5. Loop your content in Seasonal or Evergreen SmartLoops

6. Use interval pinning to schedule to multiple boards at once over a time period selected

7. Use board lists to easily pin one pin to multiple boards with ONE CLICK

8. Use their SmartSchedule to select posting times that fit with when their audience is most engaged on Pinterest

9. Use the Tailwind Publishing Extension for Chrome to easily bulk schedule content from Pinterest to your Tailwind schedule

10. Bulk upload your client’s pin images to Tailwind drafts

All from one tool.

I believe everything you do in business should be as streamlined as possible.

When you have less to focus on you start to improve what’s already there. You begin creating better pin designs, testing which designs your client’s audience reacts to the most, planning your client’s content for the month and analyzing their results to make more informed decisions. This leads to greater results for your clients.

You’re also able to create more time freedom in your business which allows you to spend time with family, go on vacation and take sick days when needed.

Scheduling your client’s content using Tailwind, gives you that freedom in your own schedule.

One of the best tips I give my Pinterest Management students is to use Tailwind so you can make strategic moves on Pinterest. When you plan out your client’s content for the month or quarter you’re able to see when it would be best for certain posts to go out based on past engagement with that topic.

This means you’re able to share a post when their audience is more likely to engage with it. Those strategic moves lead to better results. You can do that thanks to Tailwind.

Here are 5 ways Tailwind will help you manage your business and client work as a Pinterest Manager:

1. By scheduling other people’s content and your client’s content to their Pinterest account using Tailwind’s scheduler, you won’t have to be tied down to being on Pinterest every day. You can schedule a month or more in advance and have time to focus on your strategy, pin design, Pinterest SEO and gaining new clients.

2. You can easily bulk upload your client’s content into the drafts section. This simplifies your workflow and allows you to add multiple images at once instead of having to upload them one by one to Pinterest.

3. You can bulk schedule content from Pinterest to your client’s Tailwind draft section using the Tailwind Extension. Instead of saving pins one by one to boards you can bulk select all the pins you want to add to your schedule in one go. This reduces the time you spend “searching, clicking and saving pins” to your client’s boards.

4. You can set a schedule to include a certain number of pins per day so you know every day there will be between X-Y pins going to your client’s account. This schedule is called a Smart Schedule because Tailwind selects the times when your client’s audience is most likely to be active on Pinterest. This ensures your pins go out at the most optimal time during the day.

5. If your client’s content can be shared on multiple boards and multiple group boards, then you’ll be spending a lot of time either manually saving that pin to each individual board OR…

If you have Tailwind, you can create a Board List. A board list lets you select boards that are similar and group them together. Whenever you have a pin in your drafts section that can go to multiple boards you simplify select that board list and it’ll automatically populate the “ADD BOARD” section with all of those boards. You can then click schedule and that one pin will be sent to all of those boards. No more saving a pin over and over again to all the relevant boards. Now you can do it in one or two clicks through Tailwind.

There are many more features on TAILWIND that simplifies your life as a Pinterest Manager.

I’d suggest you invest in Tailwind right from the start. Don’t make the same mistake I did and almost end up hating Pinterest Management because you’re overwhelmed by #allthepinning.

Tailwind is essential to prevent you from burning out. It is also the one tool that will allow you to serve multiple clients and scale your business without taking away that time freedom you’re after.

Tailwind helps improve your client’s results because of the consistency in pin distribution, the ability to schedule at optimized times and more.

HERE’S THE THING…

As a Pinterest Manager you’ll have lots of client tasks to manage, your own business marketing and then all the business management tasks you need to keep up with.

When you simplify your process and systems in every area, you clear up mind space to focus on the things that matter. You do work that matters and you build a profitable business.

Tailwind will help you simplify your Pinterest Marketing process and allow you to provide a great service while also freeing up your time to focus on strategy, business and marketing.
